Unable to get build 13361 to connect to MCEController

Hi, I recently purchased a Windows Mobile phone and was interested in writing such an application as this. I found out about your app via a search and thought I'd take a look before I reinvented the wheel. I got previous versions to build and run and talk to my media center, but I'm unable to get the newest build to talk to MCEController. I have tested connection with regular telnet commands and they work fine. I don't get any errors, just the server doesn't receive any commands. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi Shahn,

There have been some changes to the application that involve using a dummy connection object for testing. The dummy connection is used by default when the project is built in debug.

I've added an experiment release: http://www.codeplex.com/vmcremote/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=15141

This release has been built to use the real connection object.

Let me know how you go with this release.

Thanks,
Ducas

Ok, I was wondering what that connection type "Dummy" was all about. That makes more sense now. I did test with building a released version and it works fine.

Thanks,
Shahn
